pri sch nostalgia
coz my boyfriend is away at wrk n not ever-present to entertain me, i attempted to re-establish contact with some pri sch peeps via the marvellous website known as FRIENDSTER!
back then when i was an innocent pri sch kid who tied up my hair in 2 long ponytails, i had the bestest frens ever. ppl who were always there even when u offer them no incentives at all. the frens who tore up their hmwrk just so they can stand outside the classroom with u. the frens who gave u their last dollar just so u wun go hungry during recess. the frens who gave u the only red crayon in the box leaving the black one for themselves. the frens who cld rmbr ur phone no. by heart regardless of how many times u change it. the frens who waited in the toilet despite u having the smelliest stomachache just so they can talk to u. haiz, the naivety of youth nv fail to surprise me up till today.
i've had alot of gd frens, bus buddies n eca pals throughout my 6 yrs at tao nan. but pri 6 was the yr tt i rmbred the most. as it was the yr i got into the most mischief. playing truant, lying n having short skirts was my forte. so much so tt the v anxious teacher made me sit beside the class monitress, in front of the grp leader n behind the top student. 3 ppl with extremely bright futures tt i tarnished. i taught them the pleasure of having starbucks during recess which resulted in us being late for class or at times, locked out of sch. i taught them how to lie abt extra remedial so we cld hang out at the playground, vandalising slides. i taught them how cheat during spelling, how to copy hmwrk in the fastest time n how to throw wet tissue balls n get them stuck on the ceiling of the toilet. i can still picture the look of disbelief on leongster's face when my PSLE score was higher than all of them..
anyways, our clique was sooo super close tt the rest of the class nick-named us the 4 lesbians. btw, i only noe abt this name frm singhui n wenwan a yr ago when we became sch mates/classmates respectively in mj. n guess wat, i stumbled onto the friendster profiles of felicia n brenda.. n they r both in sp too! felicia is in dmc n brenda is in dac. tt means we were all under the same sb roof but yet nv met. rachel is in some university in hawaii now.. well, she has always been the rich, whimsical one.. so no surprises.. unless she is studying the history of bikini wearing or getting a masters in wakeboarding.. hahaha.
a quote i wld always rmbr.
teacher: iodine will turn potato (starch) blue. can someone tell me why?
rachel: the iodine syrup mix with the potato juice lor.
teacher: iodine SYRUP?! potato JUICE?!
rachel: *toothy grin*
teacher: dun smile like tt unless u wanna be in a colgate advert!
6D: *laughs*
although we r close, we had many disputes. which v often resulted in my leaving for the company of xiao yan, xiao hui n tovia. xiao yan followed me to damai so end of story. but tovia is in sp too!! n all along, i tot east siders wld naturally go to tp or something but frm the amt of taonanites i hv met n hv yet to meet in sp, i tink i'm seriously wrong. mayb its just damaians who go to tp.
hmmm, feeling nostalgic all of a sudden.
